Aug 10, 2026 Job Description Lunch Monitor•Limestone Middle School•26-27 school year Part-time position. 3 1/2 hours per day. Reports to: Building Principal
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for monitoring student behavior during meal service. Assists with the cleanliness of the cafeteria, assists with recycling and assists with the flow of meal service. 2. Manages students during meal service (behavior problems will be referred to the teacher or principal according to guidelnes established by the individual schoo site.) 3. Communicates with students and school staff in a positive and professional manner utilizing appropriate customer service and interpersonal skills. 4. Circulates throughout the cafeteria or in areas where meals are served and/or eaten assisting students who need assistance. 5. Assists with the cleanliness of the cafeteria. 6. Dismisses classes in an orderly manner at the scheduled time. 7. Encourages good table manners. 8. Participates in training sessions, meetings, and scheduled cleaning days as requested. 9. Required Qualifications:
1. Able to follow instructions and complete tasks effeciently 2. Physically able to perform duties assigned at sufficient speed. 3. Effective communication skills 4. High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Desired Qualifications:
1. Functional skills in reading and writing English 2. Knowledgeable about meal pattern requirements, understands federal, state, and local program regulations 3. Knowledge of proper food safety and sanitation procedures for food service 4. Mature ability to use judgement and be dependable
