Job Description
Full Job Description We are seeking a Lead Press Brake Operator to join a growing steel fabrication operation. This position is ideal for someone with strong press brake setup and programming experience who is comfortable reading fabrication drawings, working to dimensional tolerances, and supporting other production operators. Responsibilities Program, set up, and operate press brake machines, including Accu-Press equipment Train and assist production operators on machine functions, setups, and specific fabrication jobs Operate fabrication equipment including: Press brakes Manual saws Shears Tube benders Hand and bench grinders Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and standard prints Perform quality checks throughout the production process to ensure parts meet required specifications and tolerances Use calipers, micrometers, tape measures, rulers, and other measuring instruments Track jobs and production progress using an ERP system Safely operate a forklift as needed Follow established safety, quality, and production procedures Qualifications 3+ years of experience in a steel fabrication or metal manufacturing environment Hands-on experience setting up and operating press brakes Press brake programming experience strongly preferred Accu-Press experience is a plus Strong blueprint and fabrication drawing reading skills Understanding of dimensional tolerances and part specifications Proficiency using calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other precision measuring tools Ability to manage multiple production priorities while maintaining quality and accuracy Experience using ERP or production-tracking systems Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer-based production systems Forklift experience preferred Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills strongly preferred
