Your Community Position:
Area Supervisor (Seasonal, Part-Time, School days only- follows the school calendar)
Location:
Lenexa, KS Are you a hands-on leader who enjoys being out in the community and supporting others—while making a real difference each day? As an Area Supervisor, you'll play a key role in keeping students safe by leading, supporting, and guiding our School Crossing Guard teams. This is a field-based leadership role ideal for someone who values organization, responsiveness, and community impact. Key Responsibilities Provide daily field supervision and support to Adult School Crossing Guards within assigned programs Maintain a strong working knowledge of all company policies and procedures, including the Employee Handbook and Area Supervisor Instruction Manual Recruit, hire, train, and coordinate schedules for assigned personnel Step in and work as a School Crossing Guard when operational needs require Conduct orientations, classroom training, field training, and ongoing safety compliance reviews Complete and submit all required administrative and payroll documentation accurately and on time Perform accurate and verifiable Site Performance Evaluations within established timelines Maintain inventory control and storage of equipment, supplies, and employee documents Attend all required staff meetings (attendance is mandatory) Requirements & Qualifications Must meet all qualifications of an ACMS School Crossing Guard and be fully competent in performing those duties Strong leadership, organization, and time-management skills Self-motivated, dependable, and able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Comfortable using technology, including smartphones, email, printing, and scanning Must use company-issued devices and systems for timekeeping and mileage tracking Reliable transportation required; must provide proof of active automobile insurance Ability to lift, store, and transport equipment weighing approximately 20 pounds Must submit to and successfully complete required fingerprinting and/or drug/alcohol screening and maintain a record free of serious offenses Willingness to strictly follow company policies regarding work hours, device usage, and labor compliance This is a seasonal role aligned with the school year—there is no work during summer, school breaks, school holidays, or teacher workdays. Due to the need for quick response times to job sites, candidates must reside in or near Lenexa. Compensation $21.00 per hour 3 hours per day, work on school days only Why Join ACMS?
