JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:
Monitor students and assure proper conduct in the lunchroom. Help establish and maintain a calm and pleasant atmosphere in the cafeteria so that students may find mealtime a time to relax after the tasks of the morning and to refresh themselves for the tasks of the afternoon; to maintain cleanliness of food service facilities.Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor students and assure proper conduct in the lunchroom.
- Collaborate with food service staff and principal to best meet the needs of the school and students as necessary.
- Helps students develop and observe proper dining habits, both in terms of etiquette and nutrition.
- Circulate among tables during the meal period to be available to help students as needed.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude towards good nutrition.
- Follow all safety and emergency procedures established by the district and/or school.
- Maintain the cleanliness and order of the lunchroom.
- Protect confidential information of students and fellow staff members.
- Assure compliance with federal, state and district policy, administrative procedures and all other procedures/policies applicable to assignment.
- Prioritize, plan and organize work to meet schedules and timelines.
- Follow proper reporting procedures for all matters including but not limited to behavioral issues, bullying, suspected child abuse or neglect, etc.
- Contracts are with the district of Daviess County Public Schools-not with individual locations.
