Immediately Job Description To promote a safe and supportive learning environment, ACES would like to hire a full-time School Culture Monitor to support routines and structures throughout the building. This Monitor would work on the school floor, building relationships with students and reinforcing structures and routines at ACES. This position may further identify students needing support as they travel the building, driven by data that show needed support. A safe and supportive school is one where teaching and learning are not disrupted, disruptions are minimized, violence, drugs, bullying, and fear are absent, students are not discriminated against, expectations for behavior are clearly communicated, and consequences for infractions are consistently and fairly applied. This person will support student needs and promote a positive school climate. The candidate will use data collection to identify patterns across the building to determine where additional supports are needed. This position would do the following: Ensure students are in class for maximum learning time by: Building relationships with students Checking in with students to be sure they are well Support an afterschool structure for school supervision of transitions for clubs, afterschool sports, and after-school detentions. Build a working relationship with building administration to ensure students are not accelerating to Tier 2 and 3 disciplines. Candidates will: Work 7 hours daily Have experience working with adolescents, understanding them developmentally Know and understand our community Strong oral and written communication skills Salary range - hourly position to be determined by experience.
