Job Description

Robert Adams Middle School is seeking a dedicated Middle School Campus Supervisor to foster a safe, structured, and welcoming environment for students in grades 6-8. Working under the direct supervision of the Assistant Principal, you will oversee daily campus operations, including student arrival and dismissal, lunchroom transitions, hallway security, and light administrative support. Qualifications:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Experience working with the Middle School age cohort (ages 11-14).

Experience operating a personal computer and basic office software.

Effective communication with students, staff, and transportation personnel.

Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and professional discretion.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate.

DUTIES:

Monitors building security, including locking and unlocking designated exterior doors during morning arrival;

Supervises morning arrival, processes tardy passes, serves as the main contact for the bus company, tracks bus arrivals, and handles Tier 1 student behavior on buses;

Supervises the breakfast area and hallway flow to ensure students arrive to homeroom on time;

Oversees daily lunch operations in coordination with building administration, supervising lunch monitors, and managing indoor/outdoor lunch transitions;

Conducts continuous hallway monitoring, maintaining focused oversight during RAMS Block to prevent student wandering, and assisting staff in locating students as needed;

Inspects restrooms and common facilities, reporting any cleaning or maintenance needs directly to building administration;

Assists front desk staff with late student arrivals, issuing hall passes, answering phones, and providing light clerical support during non-peak times;

Assists administration with safety drills, assembly supervision, minor behavior interventions, afternoon dismissal, and bus loading;

Other duties, as required.

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS & ENVIRONMENT

This role requires a significant amount of movement, including standing, walking, and stair climbing, as well as active monitoring across indoor and outdoor campus areas in all weather conditions. The work takes place in a vibrant, high-energy middle school environment, requiring comfort in bustling, noisy spaces like cafeterias, hallways, and outdoor areas during student breaks and transitions.
