ROLE Clay Hill Public Charter School is looking for staff members who love children and align with our mission of providing a whole-child education. The Lunch & Recess Monitor will be responsible for supervising K-8 students in the cafeteria or in outdoor and indoor recess areas during the school day. This individual actively builds positive relationships with students, reinforces school-wide expectations, and contributes to a culture where every child feels safe, respected, and loved.

Work under pressure while maintaining a positive and calm disposition and outlook.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working with young people in a school, childcare, recreation, or youth development setting. Ability to stand, walk, and actively supervise students for extended periods. Ability to successfully complete required background checks.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties may include, but are not limited to: Supervise and support students during lunch in the cafeteria. Wipe down cafeteria tables and collect student trash. Monitor indoor and outdoor recess play. Distribute, collect, and store recess equipment. Ensure students remain safe while following school expectations and routines. Monitor designated areas to proactively prevent unsafe or inappropriate behavior. Respond appropriately to accidents, injuries, and emergencies, following school procedures.
HOURS, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This is a part-time, temporary position, employed through the Bluebird Education Network. 12.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday 10:30am-1:00pm) Ideal applicants are available five days a week; however, we encourage those who can commit to at least three days each week to apply. $15.00 per hour August 24, 2026 - June 16, 2027 To apply for this position please send your resume to Principal Emily Augustine at .
