A Crossing Patrol Guard is a vehicle traffic manager normally stationed on busy roadways to aid pedestrians or manage the movement of vehicles. They are often employed to assist around schools, events, or construction work.
•This is a Part-time position working 1-3 hours per day. Crossing Guards shall be responsible for the safe movement of school children across city roadways; traffic control at designated crosswalk; safe movement of school children across travelled portions of city roadways at designated crosswalks; performing all duties at designated post at designated times; reporting and recording any unusual activity in the area of such designated post; reporting and recording any child's injury while on duty; reporting and correcting unsafe conduct of the children while on duty; performing other such duties as designated by the Assistant Director of Plant Operations.
