Job Description
Make a Difference Every School Day Crossing Guard Services LLC is hiring dependable, safety-focused individuals to help protect children as they travel to and from school. As a School Crossing Guard, you will play an important role in your community by ensuring students safely cross busy intersections while creating a positive and welcoming environment for families. Schedule Part-time Morning and afternoon shifts on school days No nights, weekends, or major holidays School calendar schedule What You'll Do Safely assist students and pedestrians across designated intersections. Use a STOP paddle and established crossing procedures to control traffic. Monitor traffic conditions and recognize potential hazards. Communicate clearly and courteously with students, parents, motorists, school staff, and law enforcement. Report accidents, unsafe conditions, suspicious activity, or other incidents to your supervisor. Follow all company policies, local traffic regulations, and crossing guard procedures. Wear company-provided safety equipment and maintain a professional appearance. Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating safe pedestrian behavior. Qualifications At least 18 years of age. Reliable, punctual, and dependable. Strong communication and customer service skills. Able to work independently with minimal supervision. Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. Must successfully complete company training. Must be able to pass all required background screening and any applicable pre-employment requirements. Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to: Stand and walk for extended periods. Continuously hold a STOP paddle at shoulder height while directing traffic. Frequently turn, twist, step on and off curbs, and react quickly to changing traffic conditions. Work outdoors in rain, snow, heat, cold, wind, and other weather conditions.
