Job Description
School Crossing Guard Police Department The Summit Police Department is in need of additional school crossing guards. Guards work two shifts daily from 7:45AM to 8:30AM and 3PM to 3:45PM on school days, Monday through Friday. School crossing guards are paid $25 per shift, up to $50 per day. An incentive bonus of three full days pay is given to those with a perfect attendance record for the school year. If a snow day is declared, crossing guards will be paid for that day provided they work the day before and the day after the snow day. The Summit Police Department provides uniforms and training. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and provide their own transportation to the crossing post they are assigned.
