Job Description

Position Title Lunch Monitors Required Application Type School Related Personnel Salary/Pay Scale $18 per hour Job Description The Lunch Monitor is responsible for providing supervision and support to students during lunch and recess periods to ensure a safe, orderly, and respectful environment. This position contributes to the overall safety and well-being of students by monitoring behavior, assisting with transitions, and maintaining cleanliness in designated areas. The Lunch Monitor upholds district policies and procedures while promoting positive student interactions. For district schools, as follows:
Elementary Schools:
5 days per week, 3 hours daily (10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.) Middle schools: 5 days per week, 3 hours 45 minutes per day (10:15 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.)
High School:
5 days per week, 3 hours daily (10:18 a.m to 1:18 p.m) Job Qualifications
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience working with school-aged children preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and administrators. Demonstrated ability to manage groups of children with fairness, patience, and consistency. Knowledge of basic safety and first aid procedures preferred.
Working Conditions:
Duties performed primarily in cafeteria and outdoor settings. May require standing, walking, bending, and light lifting. Work schedule follows the academic school calendar.
