ACDS Westchester is seeking a dependable and attentive School Monitor to support student supervision throughout the school day. This position plays an important role in helping to maintain a safe, structured, and positive environment for students during bus arrival and dismissal, as well as recreation time in the gymnasium and/or on the playground. 25 hours/week) 45-week school year with 7 weeks of paid vacation built in Hands-On Experience Perfect for education majors, aspiring teachers, or anyone committed to the success of children with special needs What You'll Do Supervise students during morning bus arrival and afternoon dismissal Assist with safe student loading and unloading during bussing times Monitor students during recreation periods in the gym and/or on the playground Provide active supervision and serve as an additional set of eyes to support student safety Help maintain order and structure during transitions and recreation time Reinforce school rules, routines, and expectations Report safety concerns, incidents, or behavioral issues to appropriate staff or administration Work cooperatively with teachers, support staff, and school administration Perform other related duties as assigned by the School Principal What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent required Experience working with children in a school, camp, recreation, daycare, or similar setting preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to remain alert, attentive, and professional throughout the school day Dependable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility
