$17.00 hour
Schedule:
Part-Time | Monday-Friday | 2 -2.5 hours a day
Job Summary:
Personal Touch Food Service, Inc. is seeking Cafeteria Monitors to supervise and support students during meal periods at St. Amelia School. This role is vital in promoting a safe, respectful, and well-managed cafeteria environment — even in the midst of high energy and loud voices!
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise students during meal periods to ensure safety and respectful behavior Monitor cafeteria lines, seating, and student movement Assist with maintaining a clean, organized eating area (wiping tables, managing spills, etc.) Enforce cafeteria rules and help resolve minor student issues with patience and professionalism Provide assistance to food service staff as needed (e.g., handing out utensils, condiments) Communicate with school staff regarding any student concerns or incidents Model and promote respectful, positive behavior Work effectively in a noisy, high-traffic cafeteria environment Why Work With Us? Requirements:
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required Experience working with children preferred Ability to remain calm, attentive, and patient in a loud, active setting Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift Must pass background checks in accordance with NYS and school district policies Punctual, dependable, and able to work well as part of a team
