Job Summary Job Title This work consists primarily of controlling the flow of traffic at school intersections. An employee in this class is charged with the responsibility of maintaining order and providing for the safety of children in the crossing of thoroughfares to and from school. Controls vehicular and pedestrian traffic at a school crossing; Observes and notes traffic violations of motorists while on crossing duty; Prepares reports of accidents occurring on the post; Prepares daily reports as may be required from time to time Deals with children and the general public. Graduation from Grammar School or its equivalent. Must pass a complete medical examination prior to appointment. Ability to deal with the general public and control children; Ability to work under adverse weather conditions; Tact, courtesy, favorable appearance; good physical condition.
