Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS

Valid NYS Certification in Spanish 7-12 with 5-6 extension

PREFERRED

One year of Spanish teaching experience

ESSENTIAL CORE CHARACTERISTICS

Demonstrated knowledge of Spanish

Knowledge in research-based instructional strategies

Demonstrated ability to teach at the middle school levels

Demonstrated ability to work well in a team and to interact positively with students, colleagues and parents.

Demonstrated proficiency in meeting all school routines in an efficient and responsible manner

Ability to use data to assess student progress and performance and plan instruction to meet the needs of all learners

Knowledgeable in reliable methods of classroom management

Demonstrated ability to motivate and instruct learners

Effective interpersonal communication skills

Demonstrated ability to infuse technology to enhance instruction

PREFERRED CHARACTERISTICS

Demonstrated evidence of a willingness to contribute within and outside the department if called upon (i.e., advisor, chaperone, club, etc.)

Building Principal SALARY:

$28,320 - $32,220 Per WTA Contract

Internal:

District employees (Probationary and tenured teachers requesting a transfer within their current tenure area, Teaching Assistants who are currently fully certified in the appropriate tenure area) may apply by submitting a letter of interest to Human Resources with a copy to the building principal. The original signed letters of interest must be submitted by the end of the day on September 10, 2026.

External:

All others (including part-time teachers, teachers applying outside of their current tenure area, regular subs, and per diem subs) should fill out an online application at Williamsville.
