Job Description
St. Joseph School - Avon Lake Recess Monitor Saint Joseph Parish School Avon Lake, Ohio Saint Joseph Parish School, a faith-filled Catholic school serving Preschool through Grade 8, is seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Recess Monitor to join our school community. The Recess Monitor helps provide a safe, positive, and engaging environment for students during lunch and recess while supporting the mission and values of Catholic education. Responsibilities Supervise students during lunch and recess. Promote safe play and positive social interactions among students. Encourage respectful behavior and assist students in resolving minor conflicts appropriately. Monitor student safety and communicate concerns to school staff as needed. Help maintain a welcoming, orderly, and inclusive environment for all students. Model Christian values, kindness, and respect in all interactions. Support the mission and values of Saint Joseph Parish School. Qualifications Enjoy working with children and helping them succeed socially and emotionally. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patient, positive, and nurturing demeanor. Ability to supervise groups of students and maintain a safe environment. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and staff. Prior experience working with children is preferred. Must complete diocesan background checks and VIRTUS Safe Environment training. Hours Monday-Friday 10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Range $14 — $15
