OBJECTIVE

Assume the responsibility for supervising and assisting students

JOB REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent Be able-bodied, of good moral character, and adaptable to working around students who may have learning disabilities or physical handicaps, or both Student Pupil Permit BCI/FBI Background Check

JOB LOCATION

High School, Middle School, and Elementary schools as assigned by the Superintendent

EQUIPMENT UTILIZED

Be able to learn the use and care of special devices for handicapped as required on a case by case basis

JOB FUNCTIONS

Essential Assist and supervise the students in their movement from activity to activity Assist the students with their restroom needs Assist with the implementation of their physical education program Supervise and assist with learning activities Assist with fine and gross-motor activities Provide individual attention when needed Assist with the modification of teaching equipment and materials when needed Attend, assist and supervise students on field trips Assist students as necessary and appropriate in emergency situations Such other duties as may be assigned by the building principal The aide must be flexible and responsibile for a variety of roles which can include one-on-one student support, small group support, as well as office and cafeteria duties.
