Job Description

Job Summary:
Keypoint Transportation is seeking a dedicated Van Monitor to join our team. The Monitor will be responsible for supervising and ensuring the safety of students while riding in our vehicles
  • engaging with students in order for the driver to be free from distractions.
Van Monitors are responsible for assisting van drivers in the safe transportation of students to and from school. Must be able to maneuver throughout the van in order to assure students are safely buckled and remain in their seats at all time. Must be able to lift 35 pounds. Each child's needs are different, but all require a calm, caring, compassionate person. Experience with children is a plus. Applicants must be 25 years old, must pass a FBI/BCI background check and an annual drug screen.
Duties:
  • Supervise students while riding on van rides
  • Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a positive environment
  • Assist in conflict resolution among students
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents
  • Support students with special needs
  • Provide and ensure student safety
Experience:
  • Previous experience working with children or students
  • Familiarity with behavior management techniques
  • Ability to handle conflicts and maintain a calm demeanor
  • Knowledge of first aid procedures is a plus
