Substitute Teacher Service is hiring Recess/Lunch Aides to work at Murray Ave and Pine Road schools in the Lower Moreland School District.
Hours:
Varies by school; Monday- Friday, 10:30AM-1:30PM // 11:15AM-2:15PM Job Summary A Recess Monitor plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and supportive environment for students during outdoor/indoor recess. This position involves supervising students during various activities, ensuring their well-being, and assisting in their educational development. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, particularly in settings that require special education knowledge or childcare experience. Duties Supervise students during recess activities to ensure safety and compliance with school policies. Communicate effectively with students to provide guidance and support. Provide first aid as needed and maintain a safe environment for all students. This is not a comprehensive list, more information will be shared during the screening process. Skills Strong background in childcare or education is preferred. Experience working with students of varying ages and abilities. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, and staff. Ability to manage conflicts calmly and effectively. Knowledge of behavior management techniques to support positive student interactions. First aid certification is a plus, ensuring readiness for any emergencies that may arise. This position is essential for fostering a nurturing educational environment where all students can thrive academically and socially.
