Job Description

Position Description The Testing Center Student Proctor plays a vital role in maintaining a secure, quiet, and fair testing environment for all students taking accommodated and courtesy examinations. It is the Testing Proctor's responsibility to assure that the testing environment maintains academic integrity. Working under the supervision of the Testing and Assistive Technology Coordinator, the Student Proctor is responsible for checking testers in, monitoring exams, enforcing academic integrity policies, and managing testing room logistics with high attention to detail and confidentiality.. Hourly rate starting at $12 an hour

Federal Work Study (FWS) & Eastern Campus Employment (ECE) Only current / active Eastern University students can apply for Student Positions. Position Responsibilities 1. Prep/Open and Close the Testing Center in Warner Library 327 2. Assist Testing Coordinator, if needed, in checking students in 3. Monitor academic integrity by being present in the Testing Center 4. Perform regular checks for academic integrity by walking around the testing center 5. Keep track of any activity or abnormal behavior on Google form. Do not use students' names, use cubical numbers 6. Maintain testing center supplies, equipment & cleanliness (wipe down equipment, vacuum, dust) 7. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Position 1: Daily coverage (monitoring tests) Provide support to the Testing Coordinator and ODA staff if no testers. Position 2: As-needed (scribe, reader, CSuite proctor) As-needed and mid-term/finals support
Confidentiality:
Proctors have access to sensitive exam materials and student record information. Strict adherence to FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) and university academic integrity standards is mandatory at all times. FERPA training must be completed prior to start.
