TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
$15.00/hourly rate, Part-Time non-bargaining unit position; 10-Month work year/student days plus in-service only; Non-Exempt.

FUNCTION
Through meaningful playground leadership, to enable students to enjoy group interaction and physical exercise which are integral parts of the district educational program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises students at playtime and maintains a positive, harmonious and safe atmosphere on the playground or inside recess location. Organizes group games and activities. Instructs students on the proper and safe use of playground equipment. Oversees the proper storage of playground equipment. Directs movement of groups of students to and from the play area(s). Attends in-service training programs as appropriate. Informs any attending teacher, or administrator, in the event of any argument involving students; any incident involving physical confrontation; and any incident that appears to be of more than momentary disruption. Any other duties or responsibilities as deemed appropriate by the Principal or Assistant Principal.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION
High School Diploma
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUISITE SKILLS
Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find acceptable.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT PAPERWORK REQUIREMENTS
Clearances must be within 12 months and TB must be within 90 days of hire date. PA State Police Clearance (Act 34) Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151) FBI Fingerprint Clearance (Act 114) School Personnel Health Form (Physical and TB test)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

SEDENTARY:
involves sitting most of the time. The incumbent should be able to exert up to 10 lbs of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects.
LIGHT WORK
If the use of arm and/or leg control requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the individual sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work. The incumbent should be able to exert up to 20 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
MEDIUM WORK
The incumbent should be able to exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs of force constantly to move objects.
HEAVY WORK
The incumbent should be able to exert up to 75 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs of force constantly to move objects.
VERY HEAVY WORK
The incumbent should be able to exert in excess of 100 lbs of force occasionally, and in excess of 50 lbs of force frequently, and in excess of 20 lbs of force constantly to move objects.
