Responsible for assisting elementary school children in crossing the street at designated intersections in a safe and orderly manner.

Essential Functions:

Stops traffic flow across streets and intersections that may or may not have a permanent stop sign Places traffic cones in the street before school begins and removes at end of school as needed Notifies police headquarters of real or potential hazards and pedestrian accidents in the vicinity Ability to get along with customers and co-workers Maintains regular and punctual on-site attendance

Acceptable Equivalency:

Basic knowledge of municipal traffic regulations OR Any combination of related education, experience, certifications and licenses that will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job
