Primary Purpose:
Assist in the maintenance student discipline, order, and safety in the cafeteria.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED Excellent organizational skills Excellent personal and interpersonal skills Ability to move actively through large numbers of people in a limited amount of space Ability to act responsibly
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Demonstrate knowledge, understanding, and skill in working with students. Develop, in cooperation with the building administrators, long and short range plans for management of students in the cafeteria setting. Perform duties according to guidelines established by TEA, Board policies and administrative regulations. Establish control in the cafeteria setting in accordance with Board policies and administrative regulations. Take all necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities. Assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and Board policy. Ability to move throughout a cafeteria setting and to actively interact with students.

Working Conditions:
Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing. Able to lift and move small items, chairs, and other classroom equipment.
