Description We are looking for a Loan Documentation Specialist to join a financial services organization in Los Angeles, California. This Long-term Contract opportunity supports the servicing and administration of commercial lending portfolios. The role focuses on accurate loan setup, ongoing portfolio maintenance, and coordination across internal and external parties to help ensure compliant, high-quality loan operations throughout the life of each transaction.

Responsibilities:

• Administer daily servicing activities for commercial loan facilities, including revolving credit lines, term loans, and other structured lending arrangements.
• Support the onboarding of new deals by entering and validating borrower, facility, and lender information within internal loan systems.
• Update and maintain portfolio records such as lender positions, commitment amounts, payment activity, and applicable fee details to preserve data accuracy.
• Monitor reporting and notice requirements under credit agreements, including borrower submissions, compliance-related documents, and other recurring obligations.
• Prepare and distribute communications tied to agent bank activities, including lender notices, funding requests, payment details, and rate-related updates.
• Partner with credit, operations, treasury, legal counsel, borrowers, and participating lenders to facilitate smooth ongoing administration of multi-lender transactions.
• Assist with servicing events such as interest rate resets, loan rollovers, and payment processing for syndicated facilities.
• Manage document indexing and digital file organization for loan agreements, amendments, participation documents, and related credit records.
• Perform reconciliations and support portfolio reporting efforts to maintain consistency and integrity across servicing systems.
• Contribute to audits, special projects, and broader administrative initiatives related to commercial loan servicing operations. Requirements
• At least three years of experience in banking, commercial lending operations, or loan servicing; experience with syndicated loans is nice to have.
• Practical knowledge of credit facilities
• Solid understanding of loan/credit documentation, loan structures, and the operational mechanics of multi-lender transactions.
• Experience with loan onboarding, servicing milestones, and ongoing lifecycle administration for commercial lending products.
• Strong organizational skills and close attention to detail when managing complex financial transactions and documentation.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work professionally with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency with standard business applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel; familiarity with loan servicing platforms is preferred.
