Job Description
Job Description The Document Control Specialist will be responsible for managing, organizing, tracking, and maintaining technical, quality, and project documentation throughout its full lifecycle. This individual will support document intake, review, approval routing, distribution, revision control, and archiving efforts while ensuring all documentation complies with internal standards, client requirements, naming conventions, metadata standards, and quality guidelines. They will maintain document logs, transmittals, submittals, RFIs, audit records, and master document lists while serving as a key point of contact for document control processes. Additionally, this person will administer document management systems, manage permissions and folder structures, and provide support and training to internal stakeholders on document control procedures. https://insightglobal.com/workforce-privacy-policy/. Skills and Requirements- 2+ years of experience in document control, records management, quality administration, or a related field.
- Experience managing technical, engineering, project, or quality documentation through the full document lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of document control processes including revision control, metadata management, document numbering, approval workflows, and document archiving.
- Experience performing quality reviews for document accuracy, formatting, templates, naming conventions, signatures, and completeness.
- Experience maintaining document logs, transmittals, audit trails, and reporting activities.
- Hands-on experience working within an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage a high volume of documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience supporting construction, engineering, manufacturing, energy, life sciences, or other highly regulated industries.
- Experience with SharePoint, Procore, Aconex, MasterControl, Veeva Vault, AODocs, ACC, or similar document management platforms.
- Experience managing system permissions, access controls, and document security settings.
- Experience training or supporting end users on document management tools and processes.
