BIM/CAD Coordinator
Job Description
Ascension Property Services, based in Palo Alto, CA, seeks a BIM/CAD Coordinator to support technology-driven building and property projects. You will develop, manage, and maintain BIM and CAD models, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project requirements and industry standards. Working closely with engineers, project managers, and IT teams, you'll coordinate model updates, perform clash detection, and manage drawing sets. You will also help define BIM/CAD workflows, support data integration with internal systems, and contribute to process automation while documenting standards and training users in best practices. Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and coordinate BIM and CAD models for property and technology projects Ensure model accuracy, version control, and compliance with company and industry standards Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and IT teams to integrate design and data requirements Perform clash detection, quality checks, and resolve model coordination issues Prepare and manage drawing sets, documentation, and model exports for stakeholders Define and document BIM/CAD workflows, templates, and standards Support integration of BIM/CAD data with internal software and project management tools Automate repetitive modeling and documentation tasks where possible Provide user support and training on BIM/CAD tools and best practices Collaborate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance digital design processes Required Skills BIM modeling (Revit or similar)2 D/3 D CAD drafting (Auto CAD or similar) Clash detection and model coordination (Navisworks or similar) BIM standards and template creation Data management and version control for models and drawings Scripting or automation (Dynamo, Python, or similar) Integration of BIM/CAD with project management or CMMS tools Technical documentation and drawing set production Collaboration using CDEs or cloud-based model sharing Understanding of building systems, MEP, and architectural coordination
