Job Description

Job Summary Nation's Home Medical Equipment is seeking a part-time, temporary Documentation Specialist at our Owings Mills office! This role is responsible for performing tasks related to securing accurate medical documentation in a timely manner and providing administrative support as directed. This role will be 20 hours per week, for a minimum of 1 month but possibly longer, depending on project needs. Business hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5 PM; work hours will fall within this schedule based on the candidates' availability. Key Duties Obtain and review all medical documentation as required Communicate with internal and external customers in a timely and professional manner Utilize communication tools such as phones, emails, fax machine, and others as directed Upload documentation into the EMR system Receive and direct digital and paper communication to the appropriate recipients within a specified amount of time Utilize document tracking tools to verify and follow up as needed Help maintain supplies and inventory based on accurate data entry
Requirements/Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required At least 1 year of professional experience; knowledge of medical terminology preferred Proficiency in using Microsoft 365 suite (specifically Excel, Teams, Outlook, and Word), electronic medical record systems, fax machines, and scanners Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritize and organize multiple objectives and tasks Ability to communicate and collaborate effective across multiple departments

$18.00 per hour
