Position Summary:
Responsible for creating, managing, tracking, and storing the company's documents. They scan, image, organize and maintain documents, adhering to the company's document records and control procedures. Additionally, they archive inactive records in accordance with the records retention schedule. Most commonly, the position requires the retrieval of documents from suppliers, customers, and employees to prepare documentation packages (i.e., Material Test Reports, Non-Destructive Test Reports, Paint Reports, etc.) as required by the customers purchase order(s), all while organizing these in a timely manner to meet the customer's needs. As required, the document technician creates new templates and updates procedures. Infrequently, helps Quality Manager with meeting minutes, training employees on records and/or documentation and assists with administrative tasks as needed. Lead/Support quality improvement initiatives as per
IATF 16949-2016
to achieve set sigma level for value stream. Guide production team on issue resolution using knowledge relevant to your department specialties. Principle Duties (includes, but is not limited to): Oversee, maintain, and improve company's document program. Preparing customer documentation (i.e., 3.1's, customer data books, Material Test Reports, etc.) Responsible for company's document change management program Oversee and Maintain Company's Doc Record Database Oversee and Maintain Company's WebCerts Folder Ensure all customer related documents are loaded to portals as required. Review final customer documentation package for compliance to customer compliance. Review
PED/UKCA
Orders for compliance to requirements Notify internal owners of special requirements (i.e., NACE, MT, PT, etc.) Work with External Inspectors as needed. Available to assist in other departmental responsibilities as needed. Participate in quality improvements as per
IATF 16949 2016
ensure to complete toll gates for DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, Process capability study for in house process Ensure requirements of relevant standards like
ISO 9001-2015, PED 2014/68/EU, API
Spec. Q1, API 6D, etc. are being consistently met and improved. Essential Qualifications /
Experience:
Associate degree in business, engineering, QA discipline, or related field. Unimpeachable ethics. Must be self-directed, an independent thinker, and have strong attention to detail. Effective communicator will all levels of associates. Strong organizational and time management skills to ensure timely completion of projects. Extensive experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint). Preferred Qualifications/Experience Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, QA discipline, or related field.
