Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Document Control Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining critical documentation in compliance with industry standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, ITAR, Export Control and FAA regulations. This role requires strong technical proficiency, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments to ensure document accuracy, integrity, and regulatory compliance within a fast-paced environment. The Document Control Specialist will play a vital role in supporting quality management systems, document control processes, and regulatory adherence in the aerospace industry. Duties Manage and maintain document management systems, ensuring proper filing, version control, and accessibility or proper restriction of documents. Review and approve documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, ITAR, Export Control and FAA regulations. Oversee document workflow management to ensure timely review, approval, and distribution of controlled documents. Conduct proofreading and technical review of documents to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to company standards. Support document control processes within quality and engineering projects and manufacturing operations, including records management and data entry. Facilitate cross-functional communication to gather necessary documentation and ensure alignment with quality management protocols. Maintain strict compliance with document control policies related to regulatory/legal standards in production environments. Assist in the development and implementation of document control procedures using document management tools like SharePoint. Ensure ongoing compliance with industry standards and related quality management systems. Perform administrative tasks related to document filing, archiving, retrieval, and reporting as needed. Participate in industry third-party audits related to document control. Be prepared to help generate templates for better document management practices. Requirements High school diploma required; an associate or bachelor's degree is often preferred. 2-5 years' experience in document control within quality, engineering, or manufacturing industries; familiarity with document management systems is essential. Strong understanding of regulatory/legal compliance standards including ISO 9001, AS9100, ITAR, Export Control and FAA regulations. Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint. Experience with document review (document control), technical writing, proofreading, data management, and records management. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently. Knowledge of document workflow management processes and document compliance management practices. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams. Attention to detail with strong proofreading skills to ensure accuracy of all documentation. Administrative experience that supports effective data entry and filing practices. Pay:
$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
