Position Title:
Document Control Specialist/CAD Drafter
Position Description:
Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Document Control Specialist/CAD Drafter opportunity.
Job Responsibilities:
Be the primary point of contact for document control activities across departments Maintain and update document control systems, ensuring accuracy and accessibility. Create and distribute packages for manufacturing and production teams. Review, enter, and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) in the MRP system. Create formal engineering documentation including written text, charts, and graphs. Enter and maintain supplier database records including part numbers, drawings, and test requirements. Manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), including review, distribution, and tracking. Make updates to drawings and process documentation as needed. Track projects and tasks using time management systems. Ensure proper version control and archival of engineering documents. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Promote a safety-first atmosp and contribute to a zero-incident workplace. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing. Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required. Experience in document control within a design and manufacturing environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Working knowledge of CAD software, SolidWorks, EPDM, Growth Power (MRP), and QPulse; familiarity with E-SIRS is a plus. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. Ability to multitask and managepeting priorities effectively. Excellent verbal and writtenmunication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a cross-functional environment. Strong organizational and time management skills Experience in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally. Must be able to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear regularly throughout the workday. Must be able to climb stairs and use aputer for extended periods of time. Must have the ability to adjust focus, have color vision, depth perception, and close-range visibility. Ability to use hands and fingers to handle documents, tools, and office equipment. Ability to listen and understand spoken instructions andmunicate clearly with others. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.
