Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Logistics Documentation Specialist to join our fast-growing team and drive excellence in freight forwarding operations. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and managing all export-related documentation to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant movement of goods across international borders. This role works closely with internal operations teams and external partners—including customers, carriers, customs brokers, and regulatory authorities—to support seamless global logistics execution. Responsibilities Prepare and review all documentation, including commercial invoices, customs documentation, certificates of origin, bills of lading, and delivery requirements Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with U.S. and international import/export regulations Coordinate with operations, carriers, and trucking partners to ensure timely shipment execution Communicate with customers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities to gather required information and resolve discrepancies Work closely with customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure proper documentation submission and clearance Monitor and track shipments to ensure documentation readiness aligns with cargo movement timelines Maintain organized and auditable records of all export documentation and communications Stay current on export compliance regulations (e.g., EAR, AES/EEI requirements, HTS classifications) Support development and enforcement of internal SOPs and compliance controls Provide guidance to internal teams and partners on documentation standards and regulatory requirements Qualifications 3+ years of experience in export documentation, freight forwarding, or international logistics Strong understanding of U.S. import/export regulations and compliance requirements Experience with AES filings, bills of lading, and international shipping documentation High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills with the ability to work across internal teams and external partners Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and logistics/TMS platforms (e.g., Linbis, Magaya, etc.) Experience working with customs brokers and carriers preferred
Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
