JOB DESCRIPTION
Document Control Specialist II Location:
LaPorte, TX Position Summary:
Our client in the Southwest Houston area is looking for a Document Control Specialist to manage and maintain controlled documents and quality records while providing administrative support to the Quality Assurance team.
Essential Functions:
Track original, revised, and integrated procedures and all supporting documentation, including manuals, forms, and flowcharts. Coordinate the electronic document control process for new and existing Quality System documents and related records. Monitor documents throughout their full lifecycle, including drafting, peer review, approval, implementation, retirement, and obsolescence. Collaborate with document owners, authors, reviewers, and approvers to ensure timely completion of document control workflows. Verify that documents follow established formatting, organization, and internal quality standards. Promote good documentation practices by ensuring documents are accurate, clear, concise, and readable. Identify documentation gaps or compliance concerns and report them to senior management as appropriate. Maintain document security and upload new and revised documents to the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system Some travel between facilities may be required
Qualifications:
AAS or higher degree 2+ years of experience
Skills and Abilities:
High proficiency in Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read, write and speak in English. Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team Occasionally lifting up to 35 pounds
