Job Description
Job Summary The Quality Documentation Assistant is an entry-level developmental quality documentation role designed for individuals beginning their careers and seeking training in quality systems, customer documentation, critical parts records, and document control practices. Under the direction of the Lead Quality Documentation Specialist and Quality Management, this position learns how to enter and maintain critical parts information, organize quality records, support traceability, and assist with controlled documentation in an accurate, consistent, and audit-ready manner. Essential Job Functions Learn and maintain the Critical Parts Database for shelter projects and customer deliverables under direct guidance.
- Enter, review, update, and verify critical component information after receiving training on VFP requirements, part traceability, and documentation expectations.
- Collect, scan, file, and organize component documentation, product data, compliance records, and supporting quality documents.
- Assist with revision-controlled quality procedures, work instructions, forms, checklists, and customer documentation records as assigned.
- Learn how to identify current, obsolete, or superseded documents and follow company requirements for document control.
- Perform basic checks of critical parts records and controlled documents for completeness, legibility, and accuracy.
- Prepare simple status updates, logs, or documentation reports as requested by the Lead Quality Documentation Specialist or Quality Management.

document control, traceability, internal audit, and corrective action activities at a basic trainee level.- Provide backup support for O&M manuals and customer turnover packages when needed under the direction of the Lead Quality Documentation Specialist.
Knowledge / Skills
Ability and willingness to learn VFP quality systems, revision control, controlled documents, record retention, and traceability practices.- Ability to learn how to review basic component documentation, project records, drawings, and bills of material for accuracy.
- Consistent attendance, attention to detail, willing to learn and ask questions, good organization, and ability to maintain accurate records.
