https://careers.fmcorp.com Job Performance Develops, implements, and performs procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to water, wastewater, stormwater, air, and hazardous waste. Establishes, conducts, and maintains active and effective working relationships with various federal, state, and local entities who play a role in the policy and regulatory aspects of environmental protection. Conducts sampling and testing of water, wastewater, stormwater, air, and hazardous waste, as needed. Composes, compiles, tracks, and analyzes information related to program and compliance oversight duties, including compiling information and preparing a variety of records and reports related to regulatory monitoring requirements. Coordinates or assists in the preparation of various written documents submitted to environmental regulatory agencies. Researches and prepares periodic technical and administrative reports on activities as required by Federal, State, and local agencies. Maintains files and records as required by position. Must respond to and address regulatory issues that arise in a timely manner and record issues in a well-organized format. Keeps supervisor informed of any regulatory issues that arise. Creating safety goals and strategies for the company. Keep policies and procedures up to date including environmental, safety, First Responders, Fire evacuation plans, fire drills, etc. Conducting safety inspections and incident reviews. Maintain SDS documents, update and maintain archives according to Federal and/or State regulations. Maintaining, leading, and directing the efforts of the Safety Team leading monthly Safety Team meetings. Attends conferences, workshop, seminars, webinars, and other training, as needed, for professional development purposes. Must be able to work independently as a member of a team. Maintains acceptable levels of attendance and punctuality. Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned. Physical Requirements Ability to adequately work with appropriate tools and/or equipment, frequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, equipment, or controls. Must have Adequate mobility for stooping, bending, lifting, strength and grip requirements necessary to occasionally manipulate and/or lift products weighing up to 40 lbs. regularly required to stand/walk, frequently required to sit, frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. Must wear Safety glasses with side shields in all production areas and hearing protection must always be worn in designated areas. Work is performed in a manufacturing environment, heat and cold temperatures vary according to season.
Education, Skills/Qualification:
Bachelor's degree or four years equivalent work experience is preferred. Ability to read, analyze, understand, and apply a wide variety of laws, rules and regulations, instruction manuals, blueprints, diagrams, labels, and other technical information. Use of personal computers and applicable software programs, including the use of spreadsheets and base programs; data analysis techniques; principles of applicable mathematical functions and analyses, and technical report writing principles and practices.
