Operating from our 8-acre headquarters in the City of Industry, we maintain a modern fleet of tanker trucks, roll-off containers, and specialized support equipment that allows us to provide comprehensive environmental solutions, including transportation, disposal, site remediation, decontamination, plant closures, tank cleaning and removal, and emergency response services. We're looking for an experienced Waste Transportation Specialist / Customer Service Supervisor to join our leadership team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in environmental compliance, waste profiling, transportation operations, and customer service to make a meaningful impact within a well-established, respected organization. This is a salaried (exempt) position with an annual compensation range of $75,000 to $95,000, depending on qualifications and experience. Workdays/hours are generally Monday-Friday; 7:00am - 4:00pm. Job Function Responsible for activities related to the control and monitoring of customers' non-hazardous and hazardous waste streams including waste profiling and data management Ensures that the customer meets, and complies, with all applicable regulations at the Federal, State, and local levels Oversees work performed by Customer Service Representatives and manages their workload Coordinates with client and United's Sales Representatives to complete projects in an efficient manner with all the appropriate documentation Prepares quotations and work orders based on information provided by Sales Representative if/as required (backup to Customer Service Representatives in their absence) May perform other tasks as assigned by Manager. Qualifications Two or more years of experience in customer service supervisory field with an environmental background Minimum education level having high school diploma Formal environmental certifications a plus (e.g., DOT, HAZWOPER, Hazmat, Environmental Management) Knowledge of waste classification, waste profiling and manifesting Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in the English language and ability to communicate with customers in a professional manner Proficient in MicroSoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and data entry with high level of accuracy.
