About the Position If selected, you will... Review all lot drainage plans submitted to Land Development as part of the building permit process for compliance with the Unified Development Code. Provide on-site inspections of private, public, and county-owned property; ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, statutes, and County ordinances. Schedule Work Hours:

Full-Time, 40 hours per week. Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. ( No weekends! ) About You To be considered for this role, you must have the following: High School Diploma or its equivalent and 4+ years of total experience in inspecting.

OR:

College or university-level training in an appropriate field may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required experience. Valid Florida driver's license at the time of hire. The ideal candidate has the following: Please note that these are not requirements but bonuses for your consideration. Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Inspector Certification, or the ability to obtain it within 12 months of hire. ( We can help with this! ) Experience reading and interpreting subdivision, drainage, and construction plans and specifications. Knowledge of stormwater hydrology and hydraulics, drainage construction methods, surveying, pavement design, and erosion control practices. Experience conducting field inspections and working with the methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in drainage and stormwater infrastructure projects. Passing Substance Screening:

This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for a period of five (5) years.

About Everything Else Starting Pay Range:

$24.74/hr (minimum) up to $31.54 ( midpoint ), based on experience.
