Environmental Programs Technician Position Summary:
The Environmental Programs Technician supports the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of environmental programs designed to ensure regulatory compliance and promote sustainable practices. This role involves data collection, fieldwork, and assisting with program documentation and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the implantation and management of environmental programs related to air quality, water quality, waste management and sustainability initiatives. Conduct routine inspections and monitoring activities to collect environmental data according to established protocols. Maintain accurate records, databases, and documentation related to environmental compliance and program activities. Support preparation of environmental reports and compliance documentation. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure environmental policies and procedures are followed on-site. Assist in identifying areas for environmental performance improvement and support correction action plans. Provide technical support during audits, environmental assessments, and investigations. Participate in training and awareness campaigns to promote environmental compliance among employees. Maintain and calibrate environmental monitoring equipment as required. Tracking fleet safety emissions Vehicle gas consumption tracking
Qualifications:
Associate's degree or certificate in Environmental Science, Environmental Technology, or related technical field preferred. Experience or training in environmental monitoring, sampling, or program support. Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements. Proficiency in data entry, report writing, and basic computer software (MS Office), experience with DODECA, Coupa desired but not required Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Good communication and teamwork abilities.
