Job Description
Drives significant improvements to the strategy design and development of advanced network systems for enterprise, data center, or cloud-based environments, leading comprehensive validation and overseeing critical investigations across network areas. Defines processes for developing automation frameworks for testing and operations, providing strategic guidance on network task automation and performance monitoring across teams. Oversees organizational test strategy development, ensuring alignment across products, leading root cause analysis (RCA) integration, prioritizing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) items, and influencing policy development for compliance and security alignment. Oversees network health metrics and monitoring strategies for scalability, coordinates feedback across monitoring teams, sets policies for escalation, drives root cause investigation consistency, and prioritizes tool development projects for frontline support. Confirms milestones support long-term strategy, establishes mentorship expectations, drives systemic incident response improvements and RCA, shapes technical direction with stakeholders, and leads technical issue resolution for networking standards. Sets proactive resolution strategies for network efficiency issues, coordinates scalable solutions, and oversees forecasting for infrastructure growth.
Responsibilities Key Responsibilities
Network Design, Development, and Validation:
- Oversees development of comprehensive test coverage strategies that enhance network integrity at the organization level.
- Drives test strategy alignment across products to ensure interoperability, scalability, and performance standards are aligned across teams.
- Sets quality documentation standards across break-fix validation support and post-event root cause analysis (RCA), integrating lessons learned across teams.
- Creates process used to monitor and prioritize corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) items, and leads remediation across portfolios.
- Gathers cross-functional knowledge to inform change management process across teams.
- Represents changes made by network teams at stakeholder change or review meetings.
- Leads relationships with compliance and security teams to clarify compliance standards needed to support overall quality and reliability.
- Influences policy development to ensure cross-team alignment with governance and security requirements.
Automation and Scripting:
- Oversees network health metrics and ensures monitoring strategies align with scalability, and business continuity objectives in support of service level objectives (SLOs).
- Identifies patterns across issues and leads coordination across monitoring teams to gather feedback and enhance the detection and diagnosis of network anomalies across teams and multiple environments.
- Sets policies for escalation and ensures coverage on operational support rotations, and creates standards investigations.
- Oversees incident response and drives consistency across root cause investigations.
- Performs prioritization and resolution of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) items for multiple teams.
- Prioritizes and scopes tool development projects that enhance efficiency of frontline support teams to improve their response to network failures.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Facilitates communication with cross-functional project/program managers to confirm that tests and deployment milestones support long-term strategy and delivery.
- Establishes expectations for mentorship and fosters technical excellence and growth across teams.
- Drives systemic improvements to incident response and oversees high impact, or systematic customer-facing root cause analysis (RCA).
- Works with executive stakeholders to shape the technical direction of the roadmap and software architecture.
- Leads high-level collaboration with vendors and internal teams to review, troubleshoot, and resolve product/equipment technical issues.
- Ensures networking standards and roadmap leads to improved site reliability.
Monitoring and Reliability:
- Sets proactive resolution strategy to remediate network efficiency issues when network performance and service metrics (e.g., latency, throughput, packet loss) are breached.
- Coordinates with vendors and cross-functional partners and business partners to develop and improve scalable solutions.
- Oversees forecasting and capacity models to help teams anticipate future network usage patterns and capacity needs to ensure the infrastructure can support anticipated growth.
Cross-Team Collaboration and Leadership:
- Facilitates communication with cross-functional project/program managers to confirm that tests and deployment milestones support long-term strategy and delivery.
- Establishes expectations for mentorship and fosters technical excellence and growth across teams.

Hiring Range in USD from: $146,300 to $306,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral. Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week.
