Environmental Specialist Job Location:

Pittsburgh, PA 15275

Job Duration:

(18 Months Contract on W2)

Duties:

Develops, maintains, improves, and provides guidance on environmental compliance processes, procedures, plans, and tools Interprets permit conditions, regulatory requirements, and environmental commitments and converts them into clear project and contractor compliance obligations Coordinates environmental compliance planning, scheduling, and cost estimating, including inspections, monitoring, reporting, training, and recordkeeping Works with project teams, contractors, consultants, and field personnel to verify compliance performance, resolve issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions Leads environmental compliance programs or projects with significant risk and complexity; supports agency coordination, audits, incident response, and operational handoff Other duties as assigned

Environmental Specialist III:

Required:

Bachelor's degree and minimum four (4) years' environmental experience

Environmental Specialist IV:

Required:

Bachelor's degree and minimum eight (8) years of multifaceted environmental experience

Preferred:

Experience developing and implementing environmental compliance programs for major infrastructure or energy projects during construction and operations

Other Requirements:

Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills

Preferred:

Expertise in environmental compliance management, permit-condition tracking, contractor oversight, agency coordination, and stakeholder engagement for complex infrastructure or energy projects

Pay:

$55.00 - $66.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
