Job Description

Job Title:
Compliance Certification Engineer Actalent Engineering is partnering with a leading consumer products manufacturer to hire a Compliance Certification Engineer . This individual will play a key role in ensuring products meet regulatory, safety, and certification standards—supporting both new product development and ongoing compliance initiatives. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working across technical product teams, regulatory requirements, and certification processes , with a strong focus on documentation, coordination, and execution. Key Responsibilities Prepare and submit certification documentation to agencies such as UL, ETL (Intertek), and CSA Manage regulatory registrations, including EPA, CARB, and HVI programs Coordinate certification projects from initiation through approval, including lab scheduling and progress tracking Review engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and change notices to assess compliance impact Maintain certification files, test reports, and internal compliance documentation systems Collaborate with engineering, quality, and design teams to ensure product compliance requirements are met Coordinate product samples, shipments, and communication with third-party testing labs Support limited pre-compliance testing and troubleshooting as needed Track certification renewals, reports, and compliance-related documentation Contribute to process improvements, including the use of emerging tools (AI tools a plus) Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred) Experience with UL, ETL, or product certification processes Exposure to regulatory documentation and submission workflows Ability to review technical documentation (drawings, BOMs, specifications) Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Effective communication skills for cross-functional and external collaboration Preferred Qualifications Experience with EPA, CARB, or HVI registrations Familiarity with standards such as
UL 507, UL 1278, UL/CSA 60335
, or similar Experience working with third-party labs such as Intertek or UL Experience in consumer products, appliances, or electrical products Exposure to environmental compliance (RoHS, energy efficiency) Familiarity with AI tools such as Copilot or Claude Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of West Chester, PA.
