Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Bring your expertise and passion for helping students thrive to a dynamic educational setting this coming school year. Two full-time positions are available for dedicated and compassionate School Social Workers at the middle and elementary levels. Both opportunities are onsite and offer the chance to make a profound impact in supportive, inclusive school communities.
Key Qualifications:
Active Master of Social Work (MSW) license in Pennsylvania. Prior experience working within a school environment. Compliance with Pennsylvania Department of Education guidelines, holding either: A valid PA School Social Worker Educational Specialist certificate, or An emergency permit with LSW or LCSW credentials and currently enrolled in a PDE-approved program. Ability to obtain and complete all necessary Pennsylvania clearances. Comfortable and committed to engaging within an urban school setting. Strong communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct support and interventions to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to identify student needs and develop appropriate support plans. Facilitate group and individual counseling as needed. Promote a positive school climate by supporting restorative practices and conflict resolution. Connect families with community resources and external agencies for additional support. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all relevant confidentiality and reporting requirements.
Position Details & Schedule:
Contract position from August 24, 2026, to June 10, 2027.
Full-time:
37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-4:00 PM. Positions open at a middle school and an elementary school within vibrant, diverse learning communities.
