The Regulatory Science and Product Safety and Compliance full-year internship is a unique option for students that want to try-on a non-lab chemistry position and assist the department in ensuring Lubrizol products comply with applicable hazard communication and chemical control regulations.
What You'll Do:
Assist in the chemistry evaluations of Lubrizol products and raw materials to support our compliance management program. Assist in the review of toxicology data used in conducting health and environmental hazard assessments. Work with a product safety & compliance specialist to review and accurately record data in our compliance management system. Maintain documents via the product safety & compliance SharePoint site. Work with a product safety & compliance specialist to implement products of acquired companies into compliance management systems. Generate Material Safety Data Sheets for experimental sample shipments.
What We're Looking For:
The desire and flexibility to commit to a 40-hour work week during the summer of 2027, in addition to a 10-20 hour remote work week during the fall 2027 and spring 2028 semesters. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Toxicology, Biology, Environmental Science or related science from an accredited college or university. Strong interest in and knowledge of organic chemistry a plus. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel a plus. Professional oral/written communication and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated and comfortable working in a team environment.
