- The City of Littleton is seeking an experienced Development Review Engineer to join our collaborative Community Development team.

- Hiring pay range for
Development Review Engineer II:
$107,635 - $113,300 per year- Hiring pay range for
Development Review Engineer III:
$114,665 - $120,700 per year- This full-time position is exempt per FLSA and is not eligible for overtime compensation.
- Work Schedule
- : This is a full-time position and has the option to work a hybrid schedule with some days teleworking and some days working in person at the office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- + Assists in the review of development proposals, site plans, and construction drawings.
- Additional Duties & Responsibilities for
Development Review Engineer II:
- + Provides first-level supervision and mentorship to project staff.
- Additional Duties & Responsibilities for
Development Review Engineer III:
- + Leads and oversees the review and approval of complex development proposals, site plans, and construction drawings.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Qualifications for
Development Review Engineer II:
- + Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning or a related field relevant to the position; and + Certification as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Colorado; and + Five (5) years engineering plan review, engineering design, oversight of public construction projects, urban planning or other closely related experience; or + An equivalent combination of education, training and work experience that produces the knowledge, skill, and ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position may be considered.
- Minimum Qualifications for
Development Review Engineer III:
- + Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning or a related field relevant to the position; and + Certification as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Colorado; and + Seven (7) years engineering plan review, engineering design, oversight of public construction projects, urban planning or other closely related experience; or + An equivalent combination of education, training and work experience that produces the knowledge, skill, and ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
- + Current Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) certification through the Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM) or a state-accredited floodplain management certification program. + Ability to obtain CFM certification within 12 months of hire.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- + Requires expert knowledge of the principles, techniques, and practices of civil engineering, construction management and contract administration.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
- + Requires the following physical abilities to perform essential job functions: lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects weighing up to 25 pounds with or without assistance. + Requires ability to sit, stand, operate a vehicle, walk, and tolerate extreme weather conditions and temperatures.
