  • Sioux Falls, SD Local candidates only Epcon Partners is seeking an experienced Environmental Inspector for an active pipeline/infrastructure project in the Sioux Falls, South Dakota area.
 Candidates must currently reside in the local area — no per diem or relocation offered for this position.
Responsibilities:
Monitor construction activities for compliance with environmental permits, regulations, and project specifications Inspect erosion and sediment control measures, wetland/waterbody crossings, and restoration efforts Document daily activities, non-compliance issues, and corrective actions Coordinate with construction crews, project management, and regulatory agencies Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local environmental requirements (e.g., Clean Water Act, SWPPP)
Requirements:
Prior experience as an Environmental Inspector on pipeline or heavy civil construction projects Working knowledge of erosion/sediment control and environmental permitting requirements Strong documentation and communication skills Must be local to Sioux Falls, SD — able to start with no travel/lodging support Certifications preferred: CPESC, CESSWI, or equivalent
