We are seeking a Senior Environmental Manager for our Knoxville, TN office to assist with the management and leadership of personnel and projects related to environmental services currently provided. Reporting to the Vice President of Environmental Services, the candidate must be technically oriented and an efficient problem-solver who has developed an elevated degree of expertise and skill in providing various environmental services. The candidate must also understand the technical aspects of the work and strive to achieve high standards of accuracy and quality. - Support team business development activities, including client interaction and customer relationship management
- Management of projects and budget, staff assignments and workload, and assisting with oversight of environmental projects
- Communicate effectively with peers, clients, and regulators
- Train, mentor, and develop junior and intermediate staff
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, geology, or closely related environmental field (higher level preferred)
- At least ten (10) years of applicable experience and knowledge of environmental services including, but not limited to, groundwater remediation and permitting, soil and groundwater contamination, landfill and solid waste, regulatory compliance, Phase 1 and Phase 2 Environmental Site Assessments, remedial site investigations and cleanup
- Strong proven technical writing skills and advanced computer skills are a must
- Ability to train and mentor staff
- Ability to effectively manage clients and build strong relationships
