This position serves as the primary Air Quality, Air Permit, GHG, Methane Intensity, and Federal Regulations Subject Matter Expert (SME). The successful candidate will focus heavily on air quality compliance, actively engaging in air permitting and incorporating applicable federal and state environmental regulations into company operations across multiple states. The position supports all KNTK assets including gas plants, compressor stations, crude systems, water systems, and associated gathering systems. This position will assist operations in achieving

goals with respect to environmental projects and compliance in our operations.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Lead Air Permitting & Compliance:
Ensure full compliance and execution of Title V operating permits and New Source Review (NSR) permits. This includes preparing applications, calculating emission inventories, and establishing compliance monitoring and reporting systems.
Regulatory Overight:
Maintain a deep working knowledge of existing and proposed federal and state air regulations (e.g., NSPS, NESHAP, MACT) affecting plants, compressor stations, and pipeline sites.
Emissions Tracking:
Oversee greenhouse gas (GHG) data collection, methane intensity tracking, and Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) reporting. Management of Change (MOC): Review MOCs specifically for air environmental impacts and NSR compliance, documenting files or initiating the permitting process when required.
Agency & Operations Liaison:
Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies (EPA, TCEQ, TRC, etc.) and operations regarding air permits, emission fees, inspections, and enforcement status.
Multi-Media Compliance Support:
Ensure permits are accurate and complete for wastewater and site water permits, including oversight of sample collection.
Audits & Systems Management:
Assist with compliance audits, facilitate resolution of action items, and maintain an effective filing system for all operational data to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
Site Support:
Learn and comprehend different state permit processes and the operating principles of natural gas compression and processing facilities.
Safety Culture:
Demonstrate a commitment to an Injury-Free Environment through personal actions and mentoring others.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
Air-Specific Experience:
2+ years of dedicated experience in air quality compliance, air permitting, and emissions reporting within the oil and gas or midstream industry.
Regulatory Expertise:
High knowledge base of State and Federal air regulations applicable to gathering systems, field compression, and natural gas processing facilities. Strong working experience with regulatory agencies such as TRC, TCEQ, and EPA.
Permitting & Reporting:
Proven experience gathering data for developing NSR and Title V permits across multiple states, as well as managing GHG data collection, Methane Intensity, and Emission Inventories.
Project Management:
Demonstrated ability in permitting processes and new process/software implementation.
Core Competencies:
Strong written and verbal communication; good time management; ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
Licensing:
Possess and maintain a valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline. Proficiency with air-specific and EHS software: ProMax, Iconic Air, Cority, or equivalent industry tools.
Working Conditions:
Travel to KNTK plants and worksites as needed (10 - 20%). Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Live within a 75-mile radius of company facilities. Will be working in an office environment with prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer. Will work outdoors in adverse or extreme weather conditions. Will be required to frequently drive to other field facilities within their assigned region. Available outside of normal working hours as needed for business necessity.

Will require lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs. in a safe manner on an occasional basis. Ability to possess and maintain a valid driver's license to include a safe driving record satisfactory to the company.
