Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of a sites environmental compliance program within a complex industrial manufacturing environment. In this role, you will manage a team of Environmental Engineers responsible for air, water, and waste compliance while ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local environmental regulations. You will serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and community stakeholders, provide strategic guidance on environmental requirements, oversee permit compliance and reporting activities, and proactively identify regulatory changes that could impact operations. This position requires a hands-on leader who can develop environmental strategies, support facility projects, and ensure all compliance obligations are met accurately and ahead of schedule.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in environmental compliance, demonstrated experience leading teams and projects, and the ability to collaborate across operations, engineering, and management groups to resolve complex environmental challenges. Responsibilities include managing environmental budgets, supporting audits and inspections, participating in capital and facility improvement projects, and serving as the sites environmental subject matter expert. Success in this role requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, communication skills, and the ability to build effective relationships with government agencies, internal stakeholders, and the local community. Experience with wastewater programs, permit development, environmental reporting, and government-regulated operations is highly desirable.
Compensation:
$71.50/hr
