Job Description
The City of Anoka is currently accepting applications for the position of Assistant Fire Chief (FT). This full-time position is a senior-level officer responsible for managing various programs within the Fire Department with a primary focus on fire protection plan review, code enforcement, fire investigation, juvenile fire setter intervention, community fire safety programs, and other programs as assigned by the Fire Chief. Conducts research of code issues in coordination with the fire department and fire inspection staff. This full-time position may also assist in managing the Fire Department Operations Division including personnel, emergency response, and the related training and safety programs. Provides incident command functions, and supervision of fire officers and firefighters at emergency scenes and in other work settings; and provides administrative and operations support and direction as assigned.
