Job Description

At Safe Industries, we serve those who serve others. We a have a unique opportunity available for a Fire Apparatus Pump Technician. This role is responsible for repairing, testing, installing and maintaining emergency vehicle fire pumps.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Inspect, diagnose, and overhaul fire pumps, valves, pressure controls, and plumbing components. Conduct annual and operational pump performance and draft tests. Maintain and repair related diesel or gasoline engines, transmissions, and electrical systems. Install new pump and pump modules in fire apparatus. Understanding the design and application of fire pumps and required accessories to fully install and integrate fire pumps in current fire apparatus.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma plus technical or trade school education in vehicle maintenance. Valid SC Driver's license and CDL certification is preferred. Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) and Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications. Experience working in a heavy fleet maintenance environment. Willingness to attend and pass continuous education for fire pumps and related fields. Certification in performing and documenting NFPA pump test requirements. Heavy lifting and knowledge in all tools required to perform job requirements.
