Dear Applicant, I appreciate your interest in the Tremonton Fire Explorer Program. Fire Exploring provides experiences to help young people mature and prepare them to become responsible and caring adults. In the process, they will learn the ins and out's of the fire department and work side by side with Professional Firefighters and EMTs serving the City of Tremonton and surrounding communities. Explorers will get the chance to serve their community and learn the proper use of equipment and tools, ladder techniques, wildland firefighting procedures, and more. The program is open to young men and women ages 15 1/2 to 20 years old. Color, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, ethnic background, economic status, or citizenship are not criteria for participation. The Explorer Program will help participants:
- Prepare for College and the Fire Academy
- Earn Valuable Life Experience
- Gain Leadership Skills
- Earn Community Service Hours

Would you please read through the information and share it with your family? As an Explorer, you must attend all the meetings and trainings. After completing the required safety training, you will be encouraged to sign up for a ride-along. Other community events and activities will be announced throughout the year.
Cost:
If you are accepted into the Explorer program, you will be required to purchase specific pieces of the Explorer uniform. More information will be provided upon acceptance.
